NIM’S ISLAND TREATS!
Yahoo! Movies has another new clip “Death By Firefly”from Nim’s Island, introduced by Gerry! Thanks to Maryutah for the heads up!
Nim’s Island scenes cut, but to be included on the DVD. “There are scenes that were cut, and they’ll all be out in the DVD,” co-director Mark Levin said in a news conference in Los Angeles earlier this month. Those include scenes between Nim, the young girl at the center of the movie, played by Abigail Breslin, and some imaginary friends (the film is based on the popular children’s book by Wendy Orr). The Nim’s Island US Premiere is scheduled for this Sunday, March 30 at 3:00pm at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. US CHARITY CONVENTION
The countdown has begun toward April 5 and the US Charity Convention to be held in Alexandria, VA./Washington, DC. Raffle prizes have been pouring in and special baskets assembled! We even have a few special “surprises” in store for some lucky basket raffle winners! Tours and events have been planned, including over 160 people seeing Nim’s Island together on opening weekend and TWO special presentations of Wrath of Gods by director Jon Gustafsson. A reminder to those who purchased the charity cookbook. There is still time to send in your raffle entries from the back of the book to win the special cooking basket at the convention. You do not need to be present to win. Those attending the convention are welcome to bring your forms with you.
ROCKNROLLA
Thandie Newton tells MTV News that Guy Ritchie is planning a RockNRolla trilogy, but don’t expect all the characters to return. Newton says, “Well I managed to get away, but a quite a lot of them died,” Newton laughed of her doomed co-stars. “[The sequel] will follow whoever’s left.” Read more…
THE UGLY TRUTH
Bree Turner (”Quarterlife”) has booked a role in “The Ugly Truth.” Her credits include “Just My Luck” and the upcoming Comedy Central pilot “Held Up” (Source: Variety). Filming is scheduled to begin on or around April 10 in Los Angeles.
