In eighth grade, my chorus class was going to sing some songs from the Phantom of the Opera including The Phantom of the Opera, Music of the Night, Think of me, and All I ask of you. One day, I decided to look up Music of the Night because it was stuck in my head and I wanted to listen to the full version of it (we weren't singing the whole song, but it was my favorite POTO song). So I came across Gerry singing Music of the Night and I thought, "Hey, who's this hottie potottie? He's really good!" So I watched a few more songs by him, and that's when I started to like him. I then saw Dracula 2000 with my sister and cousin and then my sister became obsessed with him too. I think this is one of Gerard's best works yet. Same with 300. 300 and this is his best yet. And since I'm posting this on his birthday, I might as well say happy birthday a second time. Now I have to go tell my sister today is his birthday because I don't think she knows. I am 62 and saw "phantom .." in New York. I thought Michael Crawford, who came from a rock & roll band was wonderful. We bought the cd after that and played it so often our kids got sick of it. Many years later when the new version game out, they cried with me as we watched it on TV. Gerard Butler's performance in the new "Phantom ..." is absolutely magnificent. It is wonderfully entertaining, excellently cast! Gerard Butler singing and performance can not be out done! Where to start. I am 62 and saw “phantom ..” in New York. It would be a SHAME if Gerard did not play the role of the phantom in the second movie "Love Never Dies", i am really hoping to see him take that role and answer the question we all would like to know, what happen from when the phantom left, to when Christine died and he left her the rose on her tombstone.
