Description:
 Tennessee Williams’s chilling study of motherly love and jealousy provoked by a rival for a son’s affections is one of the century’s most haunting and atmospheric dramas.Mrs Venables feels ousted from prime place in her son’s life by his new companion, Catherine. Also in the cast is Sheila Gish who won the 1996 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Performance in a Musical for Company, her numerous television roles include Pie in the Sky, Jonathan Creek and Highlander. The cast is completed by Patricia Boyer, Gerard Butler, Johanna Kirby, Tim Mathews and Julia Swift.
Production Notes:
 This production was presented by Warehouse Productions, a new company affiliated to London’s Donmar Warehouse Theatre and is lead by Artistic Director Sam Mendes. Warehouse Productions recently enjoyed a successful run at the Comedy Theatre of the comedy double-bill The Real Inspector Hound and Black Comedy.
