Overture Films and A Bigger Boat are going short, developing an untitled feature produced by Peter Farrelly and Charles Wessler consisting of two dozen short comedy films in the vein of “The Groove Tube” and “Kentucky Fried Movie.” Read more…

Peter Farrelly and Charles Wessler will produce a comedy comprised of 24 short films for in a deal announced today by Overture Films and A Bigger Boat Films. The untitled project is described as being in the vein of the 1970s comedy hits Kentucky Fried Movie and Groove Tube and Farrelly will direct two of the shorts. Shooting is scheduled to begin in January and the producers are in talks with Brett Ratner, Todd Phillips, Office Space director Mike Judge and Blades Of Glory co-directors Josh Gordon and Will Speck, among others.
