Michael Gambon, Leslie Bibb, Colm Meaney and Theresa Randle have joined the cast of Law Abiding Citizen which is set to begin filming on January 21 in Philadelphia.

“The Longest Yard” screenwriter Sheldon Turner recently came on to do production work on the script.  Writers Kurt Wimmer (”The Recruit”), David Ayer (”Harsh Times”) and Frank Darabont (”The Mist”), who was once in line to direct “Citizen,” have worked on the script.

LAW ABIDING CITIZEN
Jamie Foxx appeared on Good Morning America this morning (he is also appearing on Live with Regis & Kelly) promoting his album Intuition.  He mentioned that he will be joining GeraLd Butler (psst…Jamie…it’s GeraRd Butler ) for filming on Law Abiding Citizen next month in Philadelphia.  Looking forward to it Jamie!!

Variety reports that Gerard and Jennifer Aniston are in negotiations to star in a yet untitled comedy directed by Andy Tennant for Columbia Pictures.  The story centers around a bounty hunter who is hired to find his bail-jumping ex-wife.  Read more…

LAW ABIDING CITIZEN OPEN CALL
Heery Casting is having an open call for background talent for “Law Abiding Citizen”. Needed are SAG and Non-Union background men and women, ages 18-70, all ethnicities, for scenes set in Philadelphia PA.   Shooting will take place January- March 2008.

The open call will be held on Saturday, December 13 at the Southwark House in South Philadelphia (across from the Rizzo Ice Skating Rink, at Front and Ellsworth Sts,. Phila. PA 19147). For more information, visit Heery Casting.
