When visiting some of the oldest regions of the town, you will learn of associated tales of devilish pursuits, murder, death, and disease. The entertaining stories and legends will involve the highs and lows of the city, which include cases of body snatching and witchcraft. Some say there are many surprises hidden along the way.

Glasgow Celtic Football Club Tour

Experience first hand, Celtic’s heritage and culture that has made the club famous and renowned the world over. By visiting the Celtic Visitors’ Centre, you can take a guided tour of the stadium as well as taking a trip through the history of the club through our various informative and impressive exhibitions and auditorium.

What’s the general schedule of events for the night?

This will be finalised nearer the time, but we go with the opinion of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”.

So, as with previous Conventions, we will have a DJ on the night, and a few nice extras (not Gerry!)

What time does the event finish?

The event finishes at 2am.

Is there a dress code for Glasgow Convention?

It’s dress-to-impress. No jeans or trainers/sneakers.

Other events will be planned as usual around the Glasgow Convention, such as the ever-popular Celtic Tour and Glasgow Horror Walk.

Thistle Glasgow Hotel – Official Convention Hotel

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow now rivals London as a place to shop, dine and do business. In the city centre, the so-called ‘Golden Z’ formed by Buchanan, Sauchiehall and Argyle Streets is basically two-and-a-half miles of shopping heaven – which just happens to be where you’ll find Thistle Glasgow.

£100 double room including breakfast per room per night

£90 single room including breakfast per room per night

Please DO NOT contact the hotel yet, as they are currently arranging a code to quote for bookings specific to this event.  We will be putting the code onto this newsfeed in the next couple of days, so please bear with us.  This will ensure that you get the correct rate and the hotel’s records are correct.

For the 2009 convention event, we are organizing ways to include those who cannot travel, but still want to participate in raffles and some fun.  The details haven’t been worked out, but we welcome your comments here for suggestions on what you would like to see online in conjunction with the global events.
