I think it's rotten of them. I love Gerard Butler and I was so happy with his making of this movie, and I don't know if he had anything to do with this decision but it's not a very nice thing to do. What am I supposed to do...go buy a blue-ray dvd player so I can see the unrated cut? The unrated version is the way the director wanted the movie to be seen but for movie rating reasons could not do so in the theaters. I refuse to go buy a blue ray. I wish they would realize a few people aren't going to be happy about this and may refuse to buy the regular DVD because of this. It isn't like Gerry to make somehing so limited for his fans so I'm assuming he has nothing to do with the DVD release portion of this movie. Sorry, but I needed to vent. I was so looking forward to seeing this the way it was supposed to be seen. Gerry said in an interview that a lot was cut due to rating restrictions. I feel cheated.
