It has been a while…..Gerry’s career is on the upswing,,,,,,
hopefully, he will get recognized for his acting…..Good Luck Gerry!!!!

it was lovely to hear that gerry got so upset talking about machine gun preacher. he said he got like that with ps i love you and poto after reading the scripts. it shows how much he puts into his films and particularly this one as its a true story and really struck something in him to react like he did.

i was wondering when machine and coriolanus are due to come to uk cinemas. i presume it wont be until next year now, and will there likely be a premiere in londons, leicester square.

up to this year, i have met gbutt four years running there, and it doesnt look like i will meet him this year, which is a great shame, as it is always a highlight of my life and i am getting gbutt withdrawal symptoms. please gbutt hurry back over here as i need you badly.

Am hoping that Gerrie gets the recognition he deserves as he has proved that he can play any type of person and put himself completely into each role.

  4. Can’t Wait Can’t Wait Can’t Wait!!!! Machine Gun Preacher: I didn’t think I’d want to see it but now seeing the trailer-yep wanna see it!! Coriolanus: I was not into Shakespeare in school but my husband was so I think we’ll both be happy to hit the theater when these are out. Gerry is such a versatile actor in all the roles he does-I hope he’ll get the recognition he deserves for these.

  5. I am really looking forward to these movies, I just wish I could get to the premiere viewing in England.
I also believe these movies will once and for all prove what a very good actor Gerard Butler is.

  6. Wow…what a great story…the trailor gave me chills…can’t wait to see it… :)

When I first heard about MGP I wasn’t at all enthusiastic but upon reflection and research I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and reserve opinion until I saw the trailer for it and I am most impressed with the trailer and I am very much looking forward to seeing MGP now.

As to Coriolanus, I have been anxiously awaiting it’s arrival since I first heard about it although I had reservations about how the story being set in the Kosovo conflict would work but having seen the trailer, I am very excited to see it when it comes out. It has such a fantastic cast of actors that it is almost guaranteed to be a success.

    Love both actors!

  9. When I read about both movies I think they will be extremely interesting. But then Gerry is a formidable actor.

Very, very excited for Gerry Butler. This one really looks like he should get a reward for it. He has always been a great actor. All the way back to ONE MORE KISS and the beloved DEAR FRANKIE. Many people have not bothered to see those movies. Another one was a series called THE JURY. All sooo outstanding that he made years ago. Go Gerry! Great luck to this magnificient actor and human being. He does so much behind the scenes ever so quickly…He is the quiet man when it comes to his good deads and a funny, joker in the front scenes with the public. Great guy! Donna Jean and George and clan

im not too sure about coriolanus, but i will see it as gbutt is supposed to be fantastic in it, and it is entirely a different genre to what he has done before, and i love to see the varied scope he goes to in his films.

i am very excited about machine gun preacher, again as gbutt is supposed to be brilliant, maybe an oscar nominee, in this, and also being a true and unbelievable story appeals to me greatly.

  38. Ava Trinkler on said:

I can’t wait to see these films. Always love seeing Gerard Butler in movies.

  39. L. Leveillee on said:

So excited that since I was already taking a week of vacation in Toronto to meet up with some friends there, I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and get tickets for the 2 premieres.

Coriolanus is the one play from Shakespeare that I knew the least of and now I had to find out what it was all about for the graphic contest and now I totally want to see it.

As for Machine Gun Preacher, I’m friends with a screenwriter who’s close to Sam Childers and through her I got to get to know Sam and his story is one amazing one and I’m sure Gerry will do justice to it and hopefully, finally get an Oscar nomination for it.
