Warner Bros has recently released the third video journal for their upcoming adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel 300.

If you have watched the two first trailers before this, you probably had noticed how ripped the actors are who play the Spartan warriors. Well, that type of physique doesn't come naturally and trainer Mark Twight is on set to literally kick the shit out of each one of the Spartan actors before sending them off to war and imminent death.

Though the latest video journal for 300 doesn't show any actual scenes from the film except for on quick shot on set, it does give us a better idea of the work that each actor puts in to fit the look of the roles they are playing. Mark Twight claims he has trained the cast to the point where they go to tears or throw up. What a bunch of pussies.

Actually, the training looks incredibly hard with Mark Twight's 'fast-twitch' workout style.

It was also nice to hear a few words from Gerard Butler before the journal kicks off.

Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller's (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale.

300 will come to theatres some time in 2007 (TBA).
