If you are one of those comic book fans that finds yourself entirely put off by the entire Alan Moore vs. The Movie Industry debacle or the perceived downward spiral of the X-Men film franchise, Frank Miller is here to serve as a brightly glowing reminder that not all ruination and despair. Sin City, of course, was every fanboy's dream come true- and upcoming project 300 is showing a lot of early promise. Yahoo is currently sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the film, focusing on the rigorous physical program required to bring the actors into Spartan fighting shape. It's a neat (did I really just use that word?) little spot, if for no other reason that it offers a further look into the much anticipated project.
300, although unlike Sin City in many ways, is also a fantastic Frank Miller offering. The story of The Battle of Thermopylae is amazing on its own, and when re-imagined, and stylized by Frank Miller, it turned into a magnificent graphic novel. We are left only to hope that, like Sin City, 300 will translate well onto the silver screen. I, for one, can't wait.
