Warner Bros has released the fifth video journal for their upcoming adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel 300 over the weekend and it looks like the (male) tits.
We have already seen how they train a Spartan and how they even dress a Spartan. What we haven't seen is the first hints of how so few Spartans can kill so many. So now we have production journal #5 for 300 and it shows a bit of the combat training that the actors had to go through to fit their part and, hopefully, the era. What this means is a pile of guys stabbing one another with collapsible sticks. Though this sounds pretty bad, the video shows enough cool fight footage to keep fans drooling.
If the journals for 300 continue to improve like they have the film could easily become one of the most anticipated movies of 2007.
Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller's (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale.

300 will come to theatres some time in 2007 (TBA).
