300 Conquers The Box Office With Biggest April Opening Day Ever

Warner Bros. 300 is the biggest April opening day of all time and has blitzed the Box Office with a huge opening day grossing $1,437,000 and has rocketed to Number 1 in the market.
Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, "300" is the ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army.
Joel Pearlman, Managing Director of Roadshow Films commented "The opening result for 300 is truly outstanding and the figures represent the biggest ever opening day for a movie released in April. 300 has been a tremendous Box Office success all over the World and now Australian audiences are rushing to see one of 2007's first Blockbuster releases.
