Well, it's not quite cricket, but an American baseball game has set off a media hunt which by yesterday had reached all the way to Sydney. Reports on Wednesday about Matt Murphy of Queens, New York, who had caught a very valuable baseball in San Francisco (it was the 756th home run hit by the San Francisco Giants' Barry Bonds, a baseball record, making the ball worth several hundred thousand dollars). Murphy, a random face in the crowd, had told reporters he was on his way to Australia, resulting in a media frenzy. US reporters are desperate to track his every movement. PS can inform readers Murphy arrives in Brisbane this morning - trailed by a US media pack - and will be joined on his trip by good mate Ryan Breslin, brother of Little Miss Sunshine star Abigail Breslin, who is here to film a movie version of children's book Nim's Island in Queensland alongside Jodie Foster.
