Oscar-winner Hillary Swank and Gerard Butler star in PS I Love You, also hitting UK screens on Friday.

An adaptation of Cecelia Ahern's chick-lit hit, the pair star as a happily married couple - but these arrangements usually end in tears.

When Gerry (Butler) dies, Holly (Swank) struggles to cope, with the help of her best friends (Lisa Kudrow and Gina Gershon) introducing some much-needed humour into an easily maudlin tale.

But in the weeks and months following Gerry's death, a series of letters he wrote begin to arrive, helping Holly to move on with her life while keeping her tied to the love of her life.

Hampered by a bizarre Irish accent, 300 star Butler does his best with an under-developed role while Swank is her typically ebullient self in a romance that over-reaches.
