Frances O'Connor has nabbed the femme lead in Paramount Pictures' "Timeline," opposite Paul Walker and Gerard Butler.
Negotiations are ongoing for O'Connor, who would portray one of a group of archaeology grad students who become trapped in 14th century France when they venture there to retrieve their professor.

Skedded to begin production in April, "Timeline" will be directed by Richard Donner. He produces with Lauren Shuler Donner. George Molfi adapted the script from Michael Crichton's novel.

Repped by CAA and managed by the Bauer Co., O'Connor will be seen in the upcoming MGM pic "Windtalkers" and Miramax Films' "The Importance of Being Earnest." She most recently appeared in Steven Spielberg's "A.I. Artificial Intelligence."
