Hollywood glamour in Munich: Gerard Butler receives the honor this coming Tuesday as "GQ man of the Year" in the category " Film International".
At a Gala on 3 November 2009, the men's magazine GQ Gentlemen's Quarterly presents their 11th annual "Men of the Year" awards to prominent personalities from the international and German Show and music industry as well as from society, sport, culture and mode.
This year belongs to the Scottish actor Gerard Butler. With leading roles in "The Ugly Truth" , "Gamer" and "Law Abiding Citizen", he has been in three Blockbuster films and is one of the most successful actors in 2009.
Butler's most current film, "Law Abiding Citizen", film comes into the German cinemas on 19 November from distributor Constantin. In the thriller, he plays opposite OSCAR winner Jamie Foxx ("Ray", "Miami Vice") and is his production company "Evil Twins" first time production.
The biggest movie in the career of Gerard Butler was "his role as a king Leonidas in 300" the actor admits. He also has appeared in an impressive wide range of films including, "Dear Frankie" , "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of the life", "Phantom of the Opera", "P.S.I Love You", "Nim's Island" and "RocknRolla".
