X-MEN: THE LAST STAND

Shawn Ashmore and some of his castmates were back in Vancouver last week for re-shoots on the superhero sequel, due in theatres May 26. They spent five months here last year filming the movie.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

Several generations of comics are teaming with Ben Stiller and Robin Williams on this supernatural comedy. Also featured are Mickey Rooney and Dick Van Dyke. The Pink Panther's Shawn Levy is directing.

WHEN A MAN FALLS IN THE FOREST

Happy birthday, Sharon Stone. She was 48 on Friday, and she's in Vancouver making this low-budget indie for U.S. director Ryan Eslinger. Local kid Nicholas Elia (White Noise) plays her neighbour's son.

BUTTERFLY ON A WHEEL

Vancouver producer Bill Vince hits the ground running after his Oscar best-picture nomination for Capote. Work starts this week on this thriller starring Pierce Brosnan, Maria Bello and Gerard Butler.


ROGUE

Jason Statham and Jet Li team up for an adaptation of a Somerset Maugham novel. Just kidding -- the two action stars are here for a fists-and-bullets story about an FBI agent (Statham) chasing an assassin (Li).
