Scripted by Cory Goodman, pic is based on Tokyopop's graphic novel created by Min-Woo Hyung.
Story is a vampire Western that concerns a warrior priest who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff and a priestess to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped his niece.
Producing with De Luca, Raimi and Donen is Mitchell Peck.
Eric Paquette is overseeing for Screen Gems.
"Priest" was the first project announced under Raimi and Donen's recently created Sony-based shingle, which is separate from Raimi's other production entity, Ghost House Pictures.
Douglas, a major commercials director, helmed MGM's remake of "The Amityville Horror," which was produced by Michael Bay and starred Ryan Reynolds.
Screen Gems, which is headed by Clint Culpepper, has been on a winning streak of late. Its most recent hit is "Underworld: Evolution," which grossed $27 million when it opened last weekend.
