Otherwise, when Lisa Kudrow came to town, it could have been a scene straight out of the sitcom that made her name and paid her $1million an episode.
Yesterday, the star famous for playing ditzy New Age blonde Phoebe Buffay popped into Fitzers with friends, naturally and stayed true to character by restricting herself to a simple salad and a cup of coffee.
Not surprisingly, she didn't feel the need to walk off the calories afterwards and instead chose to queue for a cab at a nearby taxi rank.
The Friends star is in Ireland to appear in the film adaptation of PS, I Love You, the best-selling book by the Taoiseach's daughter Cecelia Ahern.
Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank will play the lead role of a grieving young widow who discovers that her late husband has left her a list of tasks revealed in 10 messages delivered posthumously intended to ease her out of grief and help her make the transition to a new life.
Kudrow, 43, will play Swank's friend while Scottish actor Gerard Butler is signed up to play the dead husband.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer star James Marsters is due to play the husband's best friend.
Since Friends called it a day after ten seasons, Kudrow has starred in a number of movies, including Romy And Michelle's High School Reunion and The Opposite Of Sex.
PS, I Love You is being shot mainly in and around Dublin city centre and Wicklow, with other scenes to be filmed in New York.
It is being directed by Richard LaGravenese whose track record as a screenwriter includes cinema hits The Horse Whisperer, The Bridges of Madison County and The Fisher King.
The film is not due to hit the cinema screens until 2008.
While her father is going through a rough patch in his career, Miss Ahern's career is going from strength to strength.
She received a e1million advance from publishers for PS, I Love You and her books have been a massive success. At last count, they had sold around five million copies worldwide, making the northsider a multi-millionairess.
Lucrative deals from selling the film rights to her books will add to Miss Ahern's ever-increasing fortune. At least the Taoiseach knows whom he can ask for a loan if he gets stuck again in the future.
And that's what Friends are for.
