He hopes the ill-gotten gains from previous scams will provide him with enough cash. But his partner in crime insists on one final job, and implicates them both in a shady deal involving a local hardman, played by Adrian Dunbar and conniving Scottish arms dealer, Gerard Butler.
Double-dealing and secret alliances turn the friends against one another, while two tenacious cops work tirelessly to put Dempsey back in prison.
It's all very predictable in a by-the-book British gangster movie kind of way.
