Studio signs three-year deal with producers

MGM has entered into a three-year, multi-picture distribution deal with producers Howard Baldwin and Karen Elise Baldwin through their Baldwin Entertainment Group.

Deal gives MGM a first look at finished and produced BEG projects for distribution in all media throughout North America.

BEG is the latest production entity to sign a distribution deal with MGM, which also has deals with Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, Lakeshore Entertainment and the Weinstein Co.

BEG features expected to be distribbed through MGM include the romantic drama "1:30 Train"; the comedy "Indiscretion"; and the action-adventure pic "Mandrake," an updated take on the classic Hearst comic.

The Baldwins' producing credits include "Ray," "Sahara" and "Swimming Upstream."

Current projects include Lionsgate's "Atlas Shrugged," starring Angelina Jolie; and "Teacher Man," based on the memoir by Frank McCourt and adapted by Ron Bass.
