Toned "RocknRolla" star Gerard Butler shares his four-step foolproof plan for beating stress as he strikes a casual pose on the cover of Men's Health October issue.

Looking slightly trimmer than his picture on the previous MH March 2007 cover, the "300" star reveals that he hasn't "had a drink in more than 10 years" and how he wanted to be an actor just after seeing a stage production of "Trainspotting" in 1995.

He tells the magazine, "A week later, I packed my bags and moved to London to become an actor. I had no connections, no experience, no training, and no prospect. Everybody was laughing at me. Everybody was thinking I'd just messed up my whole career."

He also has something to say about the success of the 2007 epic action film "300."

"You come out of that movie so pumped up, so ready to die for your friends or your country or anything. Like, 'I will fight for my parking space!' I will kill. This is my parking space!'"

The Scottish actor also shares how he beats stress to the health magazine.

His four-step plan includes:

1. Let go of what you can't control.

2. Don't hold back with the stuff you can control.

3. Make time for R&R - Rest and Recreation.

4. Remember where you started.

Butler, 38, will next be seen in the Guy Ritchie action flick "RocknRolla," out on theaters in October.
