Autograph Collectors Daily - Top 10 Celebrity Signers in 2009 was complied entirely from information provided to us from collectors and dealers worldwide. I am please to reveal that we received over 400+ lists and hundreds more inquiries...thanks to all who participated. There are two lists...one for US/Canada based celebrities and the other for UK/Australia/Europe based celebrities. Celebrities from all entertainment genres were accepted (movies, TV, sports, theater, etc.). As well, signing locations were not limited to specific areas.

10. Ralph Fiennes
This talented actor has been a very responsive signer for many years but is usually left off best signers lists for better known celebrities. We’re changing that this year.
9. Sir Ian McKellen
The “Lord of the Rings” and “King Lear” star has been signing a lot in 2009 despite performing in “Waiting For Godot” in London for most of the year. He’ll be back as Gandalf the Grey in the upcoming “Hobbit” films.
8. Kate Winslet
Since her role in “The Reader”, Winslet has seemed to open up more to her fans. This talented actress is said to be very gracious with collectors and fans.
7. Sir Jackie Stewart
Stewart was the only sportsman to make the list but his reputation as a class act when it comes to signing for fans proceeds him. He has always had a beautiful signature.
6. Geoffrey Rush
This name also surprised us but autograph seekers say he has been very receptive in 2009 and many included him on their lists.
5. Hugh Jackman
He’s one of the few celebrities who will accommodate walk-up autograph seekers and maintain a friendly demeanor. That alone deserves our recognition.
4. Jim Sturgess
The young British star was included on several collectors’ lists. He freely accommodates fan requests for his signature and an occasional photo.
3. Kylie Minogue
It was great to see Kylie pick right up where she left off after her cancer recovery. She usually signs on request though it is not the prettiest signature.
2. Eric Bana
The “Star Trek” co-star is an amazing character actor and is always willing to sign for his fans and collectors at premieres and appearances.
1. Gerard Butler
The “300” star has been busy since his breakthrough role, but has always found time to sign for fans at premieres and appearances. He will also take an occasional photo request…very nice guy.

10. Harrison Ford
I don’t know where Ford got a reputation as a poor signer but I and many other autograph seekers have found this to be far from the truth. His signature may be a bit more rushed than in years past but he is usually more than happy to accommodate fans.
9. Jonah Hill
The “Super Bad” star was included on several collectors list. Overall, he has been described as very courteous and talkative to fans.
8. George Clooney
He has been a fan favorite for many years and his popularity doesn’t seem like it will fade anytime soon. Always receptive to autograph requests at events and appearances.
7. Tom Cruise
The veteran actor always signs for fans and collectors wherever he goes. He may become an automatic inclusion to this list.
6. Dakota Fanning
We have watched Dakota grow up into a beautiful and talented actress. Collectors have reported that she will sign on location and occasionally take photos with fans.
5. Amanda Seyfried
The young co-star of ‘Mamma Mia” and “Big Love’ has had a huge year. She has been known to sign on location as well as at premieres and events.
4. Angelina Jolie / Brad Pitt
This pair is joined at the hip at premieres and charity functions. Rarely will they avoid autograph seekers. Jolie does interact with her fans…occasionally conversing and giving hugs.
3. Matt Damon
He has been a regular on everybody's list for several years. Nothing has change…he still strives to keep his fans satisfied.
2. Elisabeth Moss
This choice surprised us, but collectors and fans praised the “Mad Men” star’s charming personality and demeanor.
1. Zachary Quinto
Very courteous and patient with autograph seekers. It’s obvious that the “Star Trek” star appreciates his fans. Quinto garners the top celebrity signer for 2009
