ROMA, July 6th, 2011 – Producer Pascal Vicedomini along with Ischia International Arts Academy, ALITALIA, BNL Gruppo BNP PARIBIS and 3 ITALIA, with the support of The Cinema Department of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Naples, Italy – Chamber of Commerce, are proud to announce the Ninth Annual Ischia Global Film & Music Fest. The event will have Oscar® - winning Production Designer, Dante Ferretti serving as Chairman of the Board while the English actress and producer Trudie Style, will be President of the Honor Committee.

From July 10th to 17th, in the most beautiful locations of the green island including Villa La Colombaia of Luchino Visconti and the Regina Isabella Resort. With the participation of major international talents: Directors Tom Hooper (2011 Oscar®-winner for The King's Speech), Paul Haggis, Terry Gilliam, Kenny Ortega, Michael Radford and Cary Joji Fukunaga. Attending also, directors Mario Martone (David di Donatello prize in 2011 and running for the Italian Oscar nomination with his latest movie 'We Believed'), the legendary Ettore Scola (A Special Day, Macaroni, The Family), Giuliano Montaldo (Sacco & Vanzetti / Marco Polo / The Demons of St. Petersburg ). And also Emanuele Crialese, Claudio Cupellini, Massimiliano Bruno and more.

Among the actors expected to attend there are Melissa Leo (Oscar®-winner 2011 for 'The Fighter'), Christoph Waltz (Oscar®-winner 2010 for 'Inglourious Basterds'), Forest Whitaker (Oscar®-winner 2007 for 'The Last King of Scotland'), Gerard Butler, Kate Bosworth, Anthony Mackie, Karolina Kurkova, Eli Roth, Kelly Brook, John Hannah, Nazanin Boniadi, Lucila Sola. Italian actors include Violante Placido (The American / Ghost Rider), Massimo Ghini (Tea with Mussolini / The Truce / Up at the Villa), Cristiana Capotondi, Carolina Crescentini, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Eva Riccobono, Remo Girone, Francesco Scianna and more.

Also attending iconic rock-star Sting, the young and talented daughter Coco Sumner (who will have a concert on July 13), as well as the poet of Italian music Gino Paoli (who, on Sunday July 10th, will perform at the Regina Isabella at the end of the Opening gala ceremony), the brilliant Lucio Dalla (who will be the star on the gala on Saturday July 16th), Edoardo Bennato along with Kid Creole & the Coconuts, M'Barka Ben Taleb, Raiz and more.

During the festival the Grammy President, Neil Portnow, will be receiving the Humanitarian Award for the Musicares Benefit Program and Director Kenny Ortega (The High School Musical / This Is It") will be receiving the Global Film & Music Award.

There will be also the attendance of screenwriters Rula Jebreal (Miral), Valerio Massimo Manfredi, Andrea Purgatori and Ivan Cotroneo.

The overall program of Ischia Global 2011 will screen Italian previews of 'The Debt' by John Madden, 'The Bully Project' by Lee Hirsch (distributed by the Weinstein & CO), 'Jane Eyre' by Cary Joji Fukunaga and two American comedies 'Bridesmaids' by Paul Feig (summer box office) and Seth Gordon's 'Horrible Bosses'. Also 15 minute sneak preview of Joel Schumacher's latest film 'Trespass' produced by Avi Lerner, starring Nicole Kidman and Nicolas Cage.

In this context, special awards will be handed to the Israeli writer, Rula Jebreal for Miral (the inspiration for the eponymous film by Julian Schnabel), the Tunisian producer and singer Dora Douchoucha and to the Moroccan M'Barka Ben Taleb (who took part in the movie 'The Passion' by John Turturro). Among the other most anticipated conferences, the Movie Educational Seminar on freedom of expression anywhere in the world and specifically in the countries to the forefront of the recent headlines. This will be chaired by Oscar-winner screenwriter and producer Paul Haggis (president of the association Artists for Peace and Justice) and includes the involvement of Iranian actress Nazanin Boniadi, spoke-person for Amnesty International's campaign for the release of Jafar Pahani.

To follow, the IV Global Production Summit (Trading Movies in Today's Ever-Changing Environment) with the participation of international producers: Paula Wagner - Principal Chestnut Ridge Productions, Rick Nicita - Co-Chariman / COO Morgan Creek Productions, Avi Lerner - Chairman Nu Image, Mark Canton - Chairman / CEO Atmosphere Entertainment MM, Heidi Jo Markel - Founder Eclectic Pictures, Dora Bouchoucha - Principal Nomadies Images, Alan Siegel - Co-Chairman Evil Twins, Alison Owen - Ruby Films, alongside the Italians starting with Carlo Degli Esposti (CEO of Palomar that will receive the Award for Producer of the Year for 'We Believed'), Aurelio DeLaurentiis (Filmauro), Fulvio and Federica Lucisano (IIF), Pietro Valsecchi (Tao Two), Paolo Del Brocco and Luigi De Siervo (Rai Cinema), Paola Corvino (Intramovies), Andrea and Raffaella Leone (Al Film), Fabrizio Mosca (Achab FIM), Maurizio Totti (who will celebrate 25 years of Colorado Film). And also to the Italian leaders of big companies in the US such as Richard Borg (Universal), Osvaldo de Santis (Fox) and Nicola Maccanico (Warner Bros). Also expected interventions by Luigi Abete (President of BNL and Cinecittà Studios), Vincenzo Novari (CEO of H3G) and the vice-minister of Culture, Riccardo Villari, who will conclude the panel. Finally, the International Music Symposium chaired by Tony Renis, with the intervention of the legendary composer Mike Stoller and famous pianist Corky Hale.

Among the most awaited conferences of the V Cinema Social Forum, this year it's dedicated to the artistic and cultural emergency in North Africa. Mediterranean S.O.S. is the title of the conference on freedom of expression for the countries at the forefront of recent news (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey and more) created under the Patronage of the Ministry of Youth and of Equal Opportunities, which will be chaired by the president of Unicef Vincenzo Spadafora and Lady Victoria Hervey.

The festival founded and produced by Pascal Vicedomini, since 2003 involves the organization of Marina Cicogna, Enrico Lucherini, Franco Nero and for the music, Tony Renis. It was developed in collaboration with RAI, Radio Italian Television, Sky TV

After India, China, Russia, Germany, Brazil, Japan, South Africa and Mexico, the host country this year will be the United Kingdom with the participation of many artists coming from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland .
