The Phantom Of The Opera star won the best actor gong at the Capri Film Festival for his new film Dear Frankie.
In the movie he plays a troubled man who is suspected of pretending to be a boy's father.
And in a double for Scotland at the festival, Glaswegian Mick Davis, an ex -Celtic fitness coach who directed The Match in Scotland, was given a special mention in the director's category for his new film Modigliani, which stars Andy Garcia.
