2009 GLOBAL BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION – ONLINE ATTENDEES
Many thanks to Gerard Butler Global Fans for use of their chatroom for our online activities over the Global Celebration weekend!  If you have no already registered with their forum, click here.

Video and pictures will be coming in from the celebration locations on October 25 and 26 and we will be sharing them exclusively with those in the GBGF chatroom. 2009 GLOBAL BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

LOS ANGELES fans, this event IS going to happen, but we need your feedback!! Visit the convention website for details and let us know if you are ready to enjoy dinner and Law Abiding Citizen on Saturday, October 24!!  Please respond by September 10.

VIRTUAL ATTENDEES - This year we will be holding an online party on both October 24 and October 25 for those who cannot attend any of the above events. We have a lot of good suggestions for activities for the online audience and, of course, there will be chances for prizes and auctions. Leave your suggestions on the convention website.

DONATIONS: All cities could use donations for their raffles/auctions.  More importantly, we are also seeking donations for the online attendees.  If you are an artist, crafter, service provider or just want to donate something to the cause (does NOT have to be Gerard Butler related), please contact us at events @ gerardbutler.net with a description of your donation and which event you wish to donate to and we will give you all the details of where to send your contribution.  All donations to the Gerard Butler Dot Net Charity Group are tax deductible.

All contributors will be recognized on our convention website and on the GB.Net Charity Group page on the main website.  If you have a website for your product/services we will gladly but your banner and link on the donations page.

All proceeds go to Kids Kicking Cancer and local charities chosen by each city.  Gerard will be honored, along with Jessica Biel, by Kids Kicking Cancer this winter (we’ll have more details on that in the future).

TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL CORRECTION

Please make note that because RockNRolla’s North American premiere is being screened on September 4, we have been advised by TIFF that it is NOT part of the VISA Screening Room passes (as we previously thought based on their website) and will be sold by single ticket purchases only.  General public tickets will start selling at 10am on Saturday, August 22.  For more information visit the TIFF website at www.tiff08.ca.

2009 GLOBAL CHARITY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
The convention cities poll has closed and the top five US cities voted by fans to host a simultaneous convention the weekend of October 24-25, 2009 (along with the cities of Glasgow and Tokyo) are: New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle and Kansas City.

We will be contacting the volunteers in these cities over the next week or so to go over requirements for proposals to complete the next step in the process of organizing an event in these cities.  We are hoping to have these complete by October 1 in order to open up registration for all locations.  Keep checking back to GB.net for all the latest news and details!
