SUPPORT GERARDBUTLER.NET
GerardButler.Net continues to receive Amazon.com commissions to help support the website expenses, but those commissions are down with the economic challenges of the times. While our hosting fees are covered, we still have expenses like domain registrations, postal mailbox, postage for contest winners and our newsletter service. These expenses total close to $750. Looking forward to 2012, we would love to cover those charges now and donate the Amazon.com commissions to charity at the end of the year. As of today, $650 has been donated toward our goal (THANK YOU!), if you would like to help support the website, click here. Every little bit helps and thank you so very much for all your support in the past. Without you, the fans, we would not still over 10 years after we began!!

Special Note: As always, we discourage fans from planning special road trips to visit the movie set (there is never a guarantee you will get a chance to meet Gerry, especially while he is working) and to use common courtesy when in the vicinity of the production.
KIDS KICKING CANCER In recognition of Gerard’s work in the Detroit area, we are running a small charity campaign for the Detroit-based charity, Kids Kicking Cancer, an organization Gerard has supported for many years. If you would like to contribute to the charity, visit their website. For every $10 donated, we will enter you in a drawing to receive a Gerard Butler autographed Gamer poster or autographed Enniskarry Limo memo. Send donation reciepts to events@gerardbutler.net (they do not have to be in $10 increments, if you submit a reciept for $30, you will get three entry numbers via email from us).
DO NOT DONATE TO OUR CHARITY FOUNDATION, only donation receipts going directly to KKC (through PayPal, Network for Good or by mail) will be accepted.
Donation receipts will be accepted until August 31, so if you mail your donation in, do it soon in order to recieve your receipt in time to submit it to us. Drawings will be conducted on September 2.

In an article he wrote for USA Today, Gerard says about his recent charity efforts with Kids Kicking Cancer:
Every contribution makes a difference. Along with my support of Haiti, I’ve had a long-standing involvement with the charity Kids Kicking Cancer. Started by Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg — a martial arts black belt who lost his first child to leukemia — KKC teaches kids with cancer or cancer-related illnesses the healing, mind-body themes of martial arts training. They learn methods of relaxation, meditation, pain management, deep breathing and karate — all of which provide them with a sense of purpose, teamwork and unity. The children I meet as part of my work with KKC are such an inspiration to me. I get so much more back from these kids than I give. The power, the strength and the sheer joy in these kids — many fighting for their lives and in chronic pain — is incredible.
