LAW ABIDING CITIZEN
Action News 6 – WPVI-TV Philadelphia, PA captured the action from filming along Market Street on February 26 for Law Abiding Citizen in Philadelphia. Watch the videos below and read more about the night’s activities here.
From Philly.com – Friday night, Law Abiding Citizen director F. Gary Gray used the Overbrook Avenue home of Aaron and Ann Selkow to film violent scenes with Gerard Butler, his character’s wife (locally raised actress Brooke Stacy Mills), and their young daughter, played by Ksenia Hulayev. The action was the setup for LAC’s plot: Butler’s character exacts revenge on the district attorney (Jamie Foxx), who allowed his family’s killers to walk. Read more…
Location filming in Philadelphia is only about half way done on this first project from Evil Twins. The project has a tentative release date of March 26, 2010.

Warner Home Video has released details of the companion DVD, Tales of the Black Freighter, to Zack Snyder’s Watchmen. The DVD is scheduled for release on March 24, 2009. Watchmen will be released in theaters March 6. Gerard lends his voice to the Black Freighter animated feature which is the story within the story of Watchmen. Pre-order details are not yet available from Amazon.com, but for more details on the DVD features read more here.
In the good news department for Law Abiding Citizen, Overture Filmshas finalized an agreement to release LAC from Mark Gill and Neil Sacker’s Film Department in 2010. Read more…
The movie has also added another member to their cast. Oscar nominee Viola Davis has joined the cast (another Oscar nom/winner to add to Gerard’s impressive “one degree of Oscar” resume! ). The announcement was made by Overture Films’ CEO Chris McGurk and COO Danny Rosett along with Mark Gill and Neil Sacker of The Film Department.
“What a fantastic cast,” said McGurk. “We are thrilled to partner with The Film Department on such an intriguing project and hope this is just the beginning of a long and successful relationship.”
